I’m seeing one or the other of the following errors in the Site Health scan on several websites:

    A scheduled event has failed

The scheduled event, wordfence_ls_ntp_cron, failed to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended.

    Or:

    A scheduled event has failed

The scheduled event, wordfence_completeCoreUpdateNotification, failed to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended.

Wordfence is set to auto-update on all these sites, but is not updating.

Can you tell me what might be causing these errors and/or preventing the Wordfence auto-update from working? Thanks.

  • Hey @jeffersonpowers,

This means that your sites are having issues with your cron jobs. I’d assume the sites having the issue are on the same server or at least the same host. They’ll be able to help you fix this. You’ll need your cron job working for any scheduled tasks, like auto-updating.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

They’re all on the same hosting company, one that I’ve been having some related issues with. I will take it up with them. Thanks!
