It used to be a very good plugin. Smartly planned and not overloaded with unnecessary features. Now it’s crap where everything is pointless. Aggressive marketing just irritates. You shouldn’t go like that. Go back to the old plugin version that was what it should have been and that was logical. Change your pricing policy.

    Reasonable Proposition:

    – You’re doing a simple dashboard plugin, only for dashboard FREE and PRO.
    – Pro costs $ 29 / year + lifetime option.
    – You can sell addons for the pro version for $ 15 or $ 20 (the total cost will exceed $ 130)

And develop functionalities in the dashboard area: notes, messages, business cards with photos of users in a given profile. Then you sell a thousand and you stand still. You do plugin that will not sell because it is something unfunctional and not logical.

    Hi @schuerich,

    thank you for your feedback!

Expanding the plugins functionality to enhance the entire admin area and not only the WordPress dashboard was a conscious decision. I can understand that this isn’t for everyone and we’re planning to implement a control panel which will allow you to turn on/off specific features of the plugin.

Expanding the plugins functionality turned out to be a good decision for us allowed us to grow the plugin from 3.000+ active installs to 6.000+ active installs.

Again, I think some sort of a control panel is needed so users can quickly toggle on or off the features that they need.

    Best,
    David

    Hi @schuerich,

just wanted to let you know that specific features in Ultimate Dashboard can now be turned off under Ultimate Dash… -> Modules.

Hope that works for you! 🙂

    Best,
    David
