• I really don’t believe the flood, all of a sudden, of back to back 5-star ratings. I put it on about 10 WordPress installs, and within 10 days, I had several emails telling me that the free period was over. WHAT? There was no mention of this anywhere. Also, I was getting lots of emails related to all the spam this supposedly eliminated. How ironic that I was now receiving lots of spam about the plug-in. It didn’t stop there. I had immediately uninstalled the CleanTalk plug-in and changed to another plug-in that I liked much better. I then began getting lots of spam about the “trial period” being nearly over. I clicked the link to remove my email address from their database. That was 2-3 weeks ago and I still got emails from them up until a week ago. So, the plug-in that removes the headache of spam, creates a headache of spam. I’m very sorry I provided my email address for the one that was supposed to be free. Beware of this plug-in…..there are lots of one-star ratings that warn people about it. I have never written a negative review of a plug-in before, but this one takes the cake.

    Hello That1Writer,

Thank you a lot for feedback!

I am sorry for this issue. We don’t get any email notices if you unsubscribed from the lists. May be you have several accounts at cleantalk.org? Any way, could you please let me know your account id? I will check our logs to resolve issue with notices.

Please send to shagimuratov at cleantalk dot org. Thank you! Or use link bellow to cancel account,

    https://cleantalk.org/my/delete-account

Also if you look plugin description you will find there are several notices about paid subscription on cleantalk.org, for example,

CleanTalk is premium anti-spam service for WordPress, please look at the pricing. The plugin works with cloud anti spam service CleanTalk. CleanTalk has free trial for 14 days.

    And this,

    Is it free or paid?

The plugin is free. But the plugin uses CleanTalk cloud service to filter spam bots. You have to register an account and you have two weeks free trial to test anti-spam for comments, registrations, bookings, contacts or orders. When the trial (on CleanTalk account) is finished, you can renew the subscription for 1 year or deactivate anti-spam plugin.

So, please let me know more details to resolve this issue. Thank you!
