Can I move the home page with a permanent Redirect and still have other pages work?
I’m not sure I understand what you are trying to do. You want visitors to your Yahoo home page to be automatically redirected to your WordPress site? That should be easy to do with some JavaScript (although I don’t know if Yahoo allows custom JavaScript on their sites). But what do you mean by having the other pages work? The other pages on your Yahoo site? How would your visitors be able to access the other pages on the Yahoo site if they are redirected to your WordPress site from the Yahoo home page?

I’m moving my pages from Yahoo to WordPress. It’s taking pretty long.
Quite a few people go to my Yahoo home page. Very few go to some of the pages I’ve yet to recreate in WordPress. Maybe a hundred… so it will take maybe two months.
I’d like the people who go to the frequently visited homepage to go to my WordPress site, instead.
I’d like people who go, if infrequently, to the pages that will take me some time to complete moving, to still be able to go to them…
I’ve figured out how to do a 301 Redirect. Or maybe you told me. In any case, it works. 🙂 Happily. 🙂
