I migrated a site that was broken to a new site. I used duplicator to move it back. The old site health check has only the SQL error. The new site that was duplicated and moved.

A plugin has prevented updates by disabling wp_version_check().

The only error in duplicating was wp-config.php login ‘ were replaced with “. I fixed the wp-config.php. I tried removing all the plugins and even changing the theme to fix it. Only creating a new site and manually moving content fixed that error.

I am on the latest LAMP and WP components.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey @scsiraidguru

There shouldn’t be anything in the plugin that would disable wp_version_check… If you want to submit a support ticket for this issue we can have a closer look at your setup. Please provide a link to this thread when submitting the ticket.

    Thanks~

I emailed Robert Riley at the company. He gave me the same canned answer it was a plugin. The same canned answer from this forum.

I removed all the plugins except Duplicator. I moved the WP-Config.php file back to the directory. I did the migration. Reinstalled the plugins. No error. I figured moving the plugins caused the issue.

The new Health Check fix now has 0 errors on all my sites.

    Hey @scsiraidguru,

Thanks for the update! If you continue to run into any issues feel free to submit a ticket where we can share log files. Typically in the forums, it’s not easy to simply narrow down the issue without looking at log files. The software is complex and has many moving parts so in many cases simply getting a short description on the forums isn’t really enough for us to give a complete solution as to what the issue might be…

    Thanks

I don’t mind doing engineering level troubleshooting on issues I come across. Duplicator accesses the database and file system for WP. I have been on forums for 25+ years. I posted 10s of thousands of responses. I worked with many hardware and software vendors troubleshooting. I write in many languages. I just wrote shell and php code to parse off my Fortinet 60E firewall.

It shows last 10 days, last 12 monthly totals, and last 10 years. I started it in August. October is the 3rd month. It parses the logs at midnight for the previous day. So I completely understand how forum posts are. My web site covers installing WordPress, LAMP component installation, The Hacker News bugs, and updating the LAMP components.

    ok, thxs for the info…
