a plugin for timed text?

Hi, was wondering if anyone’s heard of a plugin where you could enter text that would appear in it’s designated spot, at a future date and time?

Kind of like how you can mark a post for future display. But this would be for chunks of text that you could place anywhere in the template.

This would be great to inform readers of things like birthdays, meetings, etc., without having to write a post.

I looked at the calendar plugin category in the codex, but they’re not what I’m looking for.
