Support » Fixing WordPress » a plug-in to handle publishing calendar

  • I want to publish a new post from Monday to Friday 7 am and being able to queue draft posts whenever I have time to write, via post by email (or else, for that matter).

Is there a plug-in that would schedule my queued post according to my editorial rule above?

If I post to social network, I can use buffer app for that: I queue many updates and buffer publishes them at some times every day. I just would like something like that for my wordpres posts.

    Thank you.

  • Are you aware that WordPress has this functionality built in? You can schedule posts publication time directly from the new post page. On the right side of the page look for Publish immediately and click on edit. You can then choose a publish date and time.

You can also publish by email. You can delay the posting time as well. Take a look at https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/, which tells you how to set the posting time and this might be helpful in setting up the ability to post by email.

Thank you but I’m not writing with that but via mail I just want to avoid dealing with scheduling, queue new post via mail and let the plug-in handle the scheduling.

If you say have 12 posts already queued, when writing a new post you always have to check the first free date, a bit of a nuisance.

    Thank you anyway.
