    Hi,

In the current state, if I create 10 Web Stories, then I find an option to display all 10 web stories on a page.
But what if I want to display a particular web story on a particular (as thats more relevant to that)?
Eg: The below web story is about visit to a particular island: https://indiatrotter.com/web-stories/plan-your-trip-to-minicoy-islands-lakshadweep/

So, I want to display this web story where there is a tour or blog related to the island. In dont want to display any other web stories on that tour or blog page. How can I achieve that?

    I use wordpress.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Should I embed the story using iframe syntac? What is the syntax for it?

Hi @indiatrotter, thanks for getting in touch!

Stories can be embedded into pages and posts by using the Web Stories block in the Gutenberg editor. Once you’ve added the block, click Selected Stories, choose a display style, and select the Story you wish to display. While you can select multiple, you don’t have to – this can be used to embed just a single Story.

Please let me know if you have any other questions on this!

Thank you Bethany for your clarification. However, I may want to elaborate my requirement that can help you suggest me something closer

    1. I have a travel website with many destinations. For the time being, lets assume only Taj Mahal and Lakshadweep

    2. I created stories on Taj Mahal and Lakshadweep

Requirement 1. I want to create a similar page (https://indiatrotter.com/lakshadweep-islands-travel-info/) where I can display (in the form of tiles just like here) web stories ONLY related to Lakshadweep.

Requirement 2. Likewise, I want to create a page like https://indiatrotter.com/kochi-to-lakshadweep-flight-ship/ If you scroll down you will find a particular section “Travel Information on Lakshadweep by Ship and more” where you will find the relevant blogs in tiles.
Can I have a bunch of Lakshadweep (read: relevant) web stories like these instead of the current posts? How to do that?

Thank you for all your help and the amazing web stories!

@indiatrotter Thanks for clarifying – this is helpful!

On any page or post, you can use the Web Stories block as I noted above to select and embed multiple stories. So, per your example, you could only select the stories related to Lakshadweep using that Web Stories block.

However, that is only possible to manually built posts and pages. Can you tell me if the links that you shared are automated archives? Are they using tags/categories to display particular content?

Yes, we are using tags to bucket the blogs under several destinations.
And then displaying that tag of blogs (here lakshadweep) to be displayed on the page.

While I can create pages corresponding to each web story and then tag them and show them up, that is a round about way. I want to create tiles where the web story will be shown stand alone. Something like the below screenshot from a news website, https://www.ndtv.com/ where the “8 Best Chinese Recipes” story is displayed as it is, without being embed in any page.

I thought feature like tagging/grouping is unavailable is the current WP plugin as I did not find it. Would be happy to be proved wrong.

Thank you for all your help.

As you can see in the below screenshot, I can display a maximum of 20 web stories in any post page and there is no way I can select them based on any tags:

    Am I missing something?

    @indiatrotter Ah, I see!

You’re correct that Tags and Categories are not supported by the Web Stories post type at this time, so the kind of filtered display that you’re looking for is not currently possible.

We do have a GitHub issue where we’re discussing this for future implementation. It would be great if you could chime in there and share these use cases so that we have a better understanding of what users are trying to accomplish via tags and categories and can work to ensure that our updates match those needs. Thank you!
