Support » Plugin: AddToAny Share Buttons » A much needed improvement

  • So far, it’s been 7 days that I’ve been having back and forth using this plugin, and still not been able to achieve the simple thing that I want.

It has been giving me one headache and frustration here and there.

At this point, I felt I had to come out straight:

1.) The plugin is not Beginner Friendly. If beginners like me find a better option, we will ditch this plugin fast.

The reason is because it needs us to know PHP and JavaScript and CSS, to get it to work properly as we expect. This should not be the case.

You need to make it a fully click and apply, or a fully drag-and-drop system. That’s how it becomes Beginner Friendly.

2.) Its Settings system is still very much immature. The click and apply, or a fully drag-and-drop system isn’t yet fully built into it.

As a Suggestion, Create two Settings System. The Standard System and Shortcode System.

What this means is that– whenever we uncheck the Standard System(as is my case), there should be another Options Panel opened up to us.

It is in that Options Panel that we should be able to enter our Custom Message per Network/Service.

We shouldn’t be editing PHP or CSS or JavaScript Templates to do that. I don’t know PHP and JavaScript, so all I see in the Template appear like gibberish to me, even though they make a lot of great sense.

Make it possible to add custom messages to Services in an options Panel, without needing to edit PHP or JavaScript Templates. Not everybody know PHP and JavaScript.
