Hi,I’m Jackson from Brazil and I’ve been noticing lately that appeared a lot of Ads from Google on my website. I downloaded the plugin Advanced Ads but I just set 1 Ad not more than 10. Now I see Ads in almost every page of my website, like automattic ads. Are these ads from Advanced Ads plugin or some virus or stuff like that? I have really enjoyed the positions the Ads are appearing even though it was not me who set these Ads but this is my doubt: Advanced Ads that set these automatic ads from my Google Adsense account or they only show the ads I set on the plugin on the Dashboard?

    Let me know pls!

    Thank you!
    Jackson

    Hi Jackson,

    thanks for reaching out.

In most cases like this, the Auto ads code was enabled either within Advanced Ads (under Advanced Ads > Settings > AdSense), another plugin or in the theme.

I didn’t find the Auto ads code on your homepage, but on subpages like https://empregosnatal.com/vaga/emprego-para-auxiliar-de-cozinha-natal-2/. There is also one automatically and one manually placed ad there.

From the code of that site, it looks as if the option in Advanced Ads might be enabled. Please check and disable it if that is the case. It is disabled by default, but can be easily changed while connecting your AdSense account.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Thank you!

Actually I disabled it from each page individually, this is why you couldn’t see them on the homepage, I allowed it on the other pages like the link you sent me.
It’s not enabled in “Settings” but once it’s in English I might be a little lost haha and not knowing it’s enabled and thinking it’s disabled.

Anyway, I just was concerned about that because I thought it was some virus, it’s because there was a lot of ads, like 4 or 5 only on the homepage but I believe it’s from Advanced Ads. The point is… How can I see the name of the Ads? I can’t find it in my Google Adsense account. You guys created it automatically and how can I find the name of the ads in order to find it in my Google Ads account?

    Thank you Thomas!
    I really appreciate your help!

Sorry about my English, it sucks lol

    Hi Jackson,

    thanks for your feedback.

I am not a native English speaker myself and find your English very good.

    > there was a lot of ads, like 4 or 5 only on the homepage but I believe it’s from Advanced Ads.

No, they are not. Advanced Ads does not inject ads randomly like this. What you saw are “Auto ads” which is a feature from AdSense. Advanced Ads just adds their code to your site, but has no control over the amount or position of ads.

You can find detailed instructions about that on https://wpadvancedads.com/place-adsense-ad-unit-manually/.

Please let me know if I missed something or you need anything else.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

This is also why these automatic ads don‘t have names. They don’t exist individually in your AdSense account. Advanced Ads does also not create any ads and pushes them into your ad account.

If you want to monitor the performance of each ad (something I personally also prefer to do) then you would need to create ad units in your AdSense account first and then place them individually through Advanced Ads.

    Hey Thomas!

I really appreciate for your help man!
I will verify it in my Google Adsense Account. I’ll check about this “Auto Ads” there.

Thank you so much! By the way, your app is awesome, congratulations! Google Adsense suggests using your app on its official website, it’s incredible!

    Cheers!
