I have a wish for future updates of WP: Please add folders to the Media Library. This will make it easier to organize our pictures, videos or whatever we have there.

+1 to this suggestion! Once you've been up and running a year, there's a lot in there to sort through.

I've been hoping for this feature to be implemented ever since I started using WP, however in the mean time there are certain plugins that go someway to making it easier to manage.

LSB Web Design: I already have 90 pages and 300 pictures on my site (WP 3.9.1 with Twentyfourteen theme). The crucial question is: Will the pictures remain in place after they are arranged in folders?

Try asking the developer of that plugin via http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/media-file-manager-advanced

Hi maldiver we're kind of getting off track from the original post here, so like esmi said you should really check out that plugins FAQs or ask a question on its appropriate support forum section.

But in answer to your question yes, if you are asking what I think your asking then the images should remain in place as it changes the media links in the database so they shouldn't break when you arrange them in folders.

For further information or questions please use the plugins support area.

I tried Media File Manager Advanced, but it was not as expected.
