Bookly has come a long way since I purchased it back in 2016. I even paid to have new features developed in 2016 that the developer later released as an add-on but I never actually switched over to using it for my business until this past month. I felt like our other booking software (which I will not name but has a $50 monthly fee) had many more features that Bookly was missing. Now I have come back to see the progress made and the developer has added many new features it now does things that our other software doesn’t do.
We have been transitioning over to Bookly for about a month and our staff has picked it up with no problems. There is still a quirk where you select a customer and you then have to click their name to add the package add ons but that is easy to train through. I would rather it just all be on the booking page and when you click the customer name it take you to the customers info page to edit/update their information, not the booking.
I will say that having each new feature as an add-on that you pay for isn’t ideal. With all of the addons I have purchased I have over spent over $325 through Envato and another $262.50 directly for them to develop features they ended up releasing anyways. With a total investment under $600 I really cannot complain. I was paying $50 a month ($600/year) for other software. For those buying now, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the value.
