Support » Plugin: Protect Your Admin » A great idea for a plugin but unfortunately locked me out of site

  • I’m glad I backed up before installing and activating this plugin. My permalink settings are NOT default – they are set to ‘day and name’ but when I activated and configured the plugin, I received a ‘page not found’ when trying to navigate to my new admin URL and a redirect back to home page when trying to access /wp-admin/ or wp-login.php. I noticed that in the .htaccess file new rules were created for my new login:

    RewriteRule ^/my-new-login/?$ /wp-login.php [QSA,L]

    RewriteRule ^/my-new-login/register/?$ /wp-login.php?action=register [QSA,L]

    RewriteRule ^/my-new-login/lostpassword/?$ /wp-login.php?action=lostpassword [QSA,L]

but for some reason still received a ‘page not found’ when trying to get to new login.

I am experincingba similar problem with your plugin. I cannot access my admin-url after using your plugin to change my admin-url from /wp-admin to /bdcsite. My permalink was changed from default to custom before this. What do I do?
