a free alternative for sending HTML!

I’ve been using this plugin for some years until it’s not been supported anymore by it’s owner.

I must admit, I use this plugin a LOT. Every other email notification plugin (mailpoet, subscribe2) come with a big problem: If you want to send HTML, you PAY! If you want to edit the HTML to make good looking newsletters, YOU CAN’T!

This plugin is free and you can edit the html to suit your needs. OK, this is for people who know HTML, CSS and the tricks to render a newsletter in a mail software. Ordinary people, they pay monthly I guess.

I’m only writing this review now, because on the latest versions of wordpress there’s a major bug: On install, it doesn’t create the “wp_post_notification_emails” anymore, this resulting on not being able to manage your email adresses. I could copy this table from and older website I did years ago and import it, it worked.
