Support » Plugin: TI WooCommerce Wishlist » A few things putting me off from using this…

  • Resolved gavsiu

I’ve been deciding between YITH Wishlist and TI. While I’m developing my site, I want to choose the right one now and not have to put too much work in later when I purchase a license. I like that you at least offer a lifetime license even though it’s a bit pricey.

There are a few things that is keeping me from choosing this one and was wondering if it would ever be addressed.

    1. Seems to require JavaScript. I disabled JavaScript in Firefox and I can no longer add anything to wish list. YITH Wishlist does work without JavaScript.

    2. The popup is a little annoying. I wish there was a way to disable the popup. I’d rather something sliding open like the shipping calculator in WooCommerce cart page or the coupon field in WooCommerce checkout page.

    3. Free vs Premium comparison chart says even the free version supports variable products, but on my site, the button is disabled until options are chosen. I’m guessing this would actually work in the premium version?

I really want to use this plugin as I believe I’d eventually purchase the lifetime license. Would any of these issues be considered or are they a “won’t fix” issue?

    Hi @gavsiu

Thanks for your interest in our plugin.

Below are answers on your questions:

    1. The adding/removing products to wishlist using AJAX and wouldn’t work without Javascript. But we are living in 2018 and I can’t even imagine who can disable Javascript nowadays because all websites would be unusable without it! For now, it looks like “won’t fix” point but we are open to improving it if we’ll see a strong reason.

    2. The popup could be disabled with “Show successful notice in popup” option. It’s enabled by default.

    3. Yes, both versions support it and plugin has separate options to enable wishlist button for variable products on listings. If this option is active you can add a variable product to wishlist from listings as a parent product. On the product page plugin forcing to choose variation before adding to wishlist. We did it for better usability since every variation will be saved as a separate product on a wishlist.

P.S. you can always kindly ask our support about some discount šŸ˜‰

    Kind regards,
