A few quick questions about Flickr

  • I am using Flickr to mobile blog. I was able to use the code given in this post http://wordpress.org/support/topic/35213, to remove the links from my weblog, but i want to remove the text that appears under every picture that says “A Picture Share! Originally uploaded by admin.” Anybody know how i can do this?

Also, on the subject of Flickr, when you sign up for Flickr they give you an email address that you send photos to for your blog. However, the email address is really really long, and i want to be able to have people post easily. I know it’s off the wordpress subject, but can anyone help? Thanks.

  • In your Flickr account settings, there is an option page which lets your style the picture sent from Flickr to your blog, including captions. Adjust those settings by removing the offending text, and you should be good to go.

And on the email thing – if you have another address (on your own domain, maybe?) that you can dedicate to the job, set that address to forward to the long Flickr address.
