Support » Plugin: Ultimate Lightbox » A few problems

  • I’m having these problems in both Chrome and Firefox:

    1. With only one image on a page, the lightbox will display left and right arrows and if any of them are clicked, the image disappears and if you click the arrows, nothing happens. Tested in Chrome and Firefox.

    2. The title and description overlay appears when there is no Title and/or Description. I’m assuming this is taken from the ALT value but if it isn’t there, the overlay shouldn’t be visible and empty.

    3. If you select “ALL IMAGES” in the settings, the lightbox will display the logo as well as the gravatar icon image from the WordPress admin bar and every other image that has a link around it (I think). Shouldn’t this d be limited to just the gallery or related images not every single image loaded by the page.

    4. When you click the right or left arrows to quickly in the lightbox, the image will flicker and then disappear until you click an arrow again.

Seems like a good idea but just too buggy at this point.

    Hi wdixon,

    1. That is indeed how it works right now. The arrows will always be there, even if you have only one image. The plugin is still in beta and we’re still working on it and haven’t had the chance to implement/iron out everything we’ve wanted to yet. Thank you for the feature suggestion.

    2. Thank you for the feature request. We’ll take a look at implementing this as well.

    3. All images literally means everything with an img tag, no restrictions. If you’d like to limit it to just galleries, you can use the WordPress galleries option. And if you’re using a different gallery or want to be more specific about which images make use of the lightbox, I’d suggest using the CSS class or CSS selector option.

    4. We haven’t done too many rapid-clicking tests. The worst we’ve seen so far is that some content will get highlighted because your browser thinks you’re double clicking. We can do some more testing for this to see if there’s anything that can be done.
