Hi @albertoarias,
You should enable the debug log and check exactly what error is recorded. If you can provide the exact error, I’ll be able to advise further. It might be that a required extension is not installed. Please contact your hosting provider.

Hi @albertoarias,
Do you have the Wordfence or Wordfence Login Security plugin installed?
We have identified this issue and resolved, AIOS 5.4.6 released approximately 10 hrs approx before for it.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/#developers
https://snipboard.io/r8EioC.jpg
Please update to the latest AIOS 5.4.6 and let us know if the issue still persists.
Regards
Hi, yes, I have Wordfence installed in both cases.
I updated to version 5.4.6 and the problem is solved; I can now access the AIOS settings.
Thanks
Hi @albertoarias
Glad to know that the issue has been fixed with AIOS 5.4.6.
Regards
I got the same error.. The error occurs when I enter Portfolio section and try to edit a Portfolio item that was previously created with Elementor. At that point, the following message appears: “A critical error has occurred on this website. Please check the site administrator’s email inbox for instructions. If you continue to have problems, try the support forums.” Of course, as the administrator, I don’t receive any emails.”
I’ve tried to fix the problem by enabling “Safe Mode,” at Elementor pluging but the issue persists.
I suspect there’s a compatibility problem with the All-In-One Security (AIOS) plugin, 5.4.6 version . When I disable the plugin, the Elementor editor opens.
Can you help me solve this problem? Note: WordPress, “Hello” theme, and the Elementor pluging version are all fully updated.

Hi @jmbamoveo,
Can you please enable debug log and check if the error is logged?
https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/troubleshooting/wp-debug/
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function get_user_otp_algorithm() on null.
Is the above error what you are getting? It was regarding the Wordfence or Wordfence Login Security plugin installed.
Regards
Hi @hjogiupdraftplus
Thank you very much for your response.
I tried what you suggested, and the error isn’t being logged. In any case, I can confirm that I don’t have either the “Wordfence” or “Wordfence Login Security” plugins installed, only the “All-In-One Security (AIOS)” plugin, version 5.4.6.
As I mentioned, I have “Elementor Pro,” version 3.35.1 installed. When I try to use this plugin to edit posts or portfolio items, the page goes blank and the plugin doesn’t activate. If I deactivate the “All-In-One Security (AIOS)” plugin, the “Elementor Pro” plugin works correctly, so it’s clear there’s a compatibility issue. I contacted “Elementor” support, and they referred me to AIOS support 🙂
I hope youcan help me.
Best regards.

Hi @jmbamoveo,
It might be a firewall setting affecting the edit post. Can you please try disabling one by one the settings below and check.
1) AIOS > Firewall > PHP Rules – WP REST API Can you please cross-check the Disallow unauthorised REST requests:
2) Deny bad query string – AIOS > Firewall > PHP rules tab. URL Security – Deny bad query strings: uncheck the checkbox and save
3) Advanced char filter – AIOS > Firewall > PHP rules tab. – String filtering Enable advanced character string filter: uncheck the checkbox and save
4) 6g firewall rules – AIOS > Firewall > > PHP rules tab – nG firewall – Enable 6G firewall rules – uncheck the checkbox and save
5) 5g firewall rules – AIOS > Firewall > 5G Legacy firewall rules tab. Enable legacy 5G firewall protection, uncheck the checkbox and save. ( This tab will be visible only if future enabled in past. It is deprecated in recent AIOS versions.)
