  • When I used html mode write this in article:
    <a href=""><div>test</div></a>
    and published it.

    Then, in the browser, it will be a change like this:
    <a href=""><div>test</div><p></a>
    The tag of ‘<p>’ has resulted in firefox hyperlink failure.
    Please solve this problem as soon as possibleļ¼Œthx.

    Your code is invalid in the first place, so I’m not surprised that you get invalid results.

    This:
    <a href=""><div>test</div></a>

    Is not valid HTML. DIV is a block element. A is an inline element which can not contain block level elements.

    Solution: Don’t put invalid HTML into a post. WordPress won’t prevent you from shooting yourself in the foot.
