hi ,

i have some best suggestion which i m going to share With you guys !!

1. We Need Complete User System ..

:- Privet Message
:- User Reward
:- User Time Line and More Etc .. !

For Admin :-

:- Admin Can Create More User Group
:- There Should Be Permission Option !! ( Admin Can Select Manually Permissions for Any USER GROUP and USERS !!
:- Admin Can Add or Remove Any One bye One Permission From Any User Group or User !

There is a Featured Image Option in Every post !! so selecting or uploading any image As Featured Post Image is Very Complicated !!
so make like .. If a User Have Not Selected any Image as Featured Image … Post will take First Image From Post Automatically As Featured Image !!

And I think you should made Official ADDONS (Official Plugin) For These Features and Options !! Beacuse If some user don’t need it then they will have simple WP BLOG and if any User need these Features then they will use These PLUGINS !!

well I guess Almost Users will Like to Have These Features And Options !

WordPress is “just a blogging software” and the main focus for WordPress is for people like us to publish our blog/website. The functions you just said are possible and you can add them to your WordPress by using some plugins and php snippets.

Most of features you said are already in BuddyPress plugin, which you can install in your WordPress. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress

It doesn’t make any sense to add automatic featured image, because we can’t force someone to use a featured image. But you can use this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/auto-post-thumbnail/ for this job.

We need it because An Admin want to give only Chosen PERMISSION To Any user what an admin want.. !!

for this i had downloaded some plugin .. but that was also not so sucessfull !!

that why i asked for OFFICIAL PLUGIN !

Oh, so you want it in core because your plugins don’t work, or there aren’t any plugins out there that you’re satisfied with?

That’s not why things are incorporated in WordPress core.

there are many users want a option like this .. !!
and Forget Plugin … These Option Should Be Default in WP and its just a Simple Thing .. !

You Guys Should Provide Option ..
Option Will be :-
Do You Want to use Feature Image in Post ?

Option 1 :- Detect Featured Pic Automatically !
Option 2 :- No , I Don’t need !

so with this option if anyone have need it .. They will select Option 1 and if anyone dont like to have it .. they will select OPTION 2 !

Note:- User Who Have Selected Option 1 or Option 2 .. They Still Can Get Option ( Add Featured Image ) With This Option User Can Upload Featured Image Manually !!

If a user Whom Selected Option 1 … they will use this option to add Any other Pic as Featured Image !!

and If a user selected Option 2.. The will use to add Feature Image in only Chosen Post !!

WordPress already does provide the options just as Andrew and Hardeep Asrani mentioned and you can always extend WordPress via add ons.

Those options make sense to you but may not fit into the WordPress philosophy.

In my opinion the key parts are these:
1. Design for the Majority
2. Decisions, not Options
The rest is pretty cool too.

What you are describing doesn’t really fit that philosophy. You do have the option to make those extensions via plugins though.

Jan Dembowski ya there are so many Plugin .. and i tried 4 or 5 plugin for that but no one worked …. !!!

so that why i ask you guys to made a official plugin ..or that or just add this into WP !!

you can check that more then 5,000,000 users are using external plugin for that !!
so if you add these option then there will no issue … becoz users will already have option !!

or you can made a official plugins for it so if someone need it .. they can use official plugin !!

becoz other plugins are just waste !!

Something should must include in WordPress Core !

For Site HomePage ( a box is also need where peoples can add other meta tags like Language , copyright , author etc..)

these options are must required for a site so lets add it !

No. Those meta tags are out-dated and havn’t been used by search engines for years now. Including them in your site is useless at best, and at worst making your pages take longer to download becuase you’ve got extra data in them that doesn’t do anything. I know that some SEO plugins add them, but the ones that I’ve seen and used tell you that they aren’t worth bothering with.

i m using a SEO Plugin and as i m user of that SEO plugin … i can see they are having same things !!!

so as we no SEO plugins are also doing same things and these are important for a site or blog so this option should be available in word press !!

This topic sure has gone round and round. 😉

AndroidApp we all get that you think that those features should go into WordPress but you’re all over the map.

Each and everyone of the (many) features you are chiming in on are currently available as plugins for a reason: those features aren’t part of the basic design philosophy.

That doesn’t mean some of them won’t eventually get into WordPress. But just posting to the Requests and Feedback forum won’t do it: you’ve got to build a case and possibly even submit patches.

Got to agree with Jan. You need to show why the majority need them. Not just you. There’s lots that we’d all love to see in core, but that would ruin WordPress by making the core way to big. Extra features are plugin territory, and they should be – because no one solution will ever suit ever website out there.

* SEO Plugins: Not needed by everyone. Many of us have themes that take care of everything (including meta desc etc). The reason we have plugins is not all themes are created equal, but WordPress CAN do it, if your theme does it.

* Privet Message, User Reward, User Time Line: Totally plugin territory. Unless you have a community site, you don’t need it. May I suggest a totally awesome plugin for rewards? https://wordpress.org/plugins/achievements/ – the rest sound like BuddyPress to me. https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress

User Roles on the other hand… LOTS of plugins for that. Ditto groups.

Featured images will be easier in 3.9
