    could it have something to do with All in One Events plugin? Tried it, but deleted it long ago, yet I see an option for it in Options/User Capabilities.

    did you add this in your settings > formatting > /events or /locations ?

    yes it’s there, along with #_EVENTNOTES and #_NOTES

    unfortunately, I rarely check the email associated with this account, so apologies for the delay.

    I created a new attribute (#_LATT{location_desc} to work around the issue for now.

    There’s also an issue with links inside event notes, i.e., half of the code appears on main events page and messes with the format.

    Probably something I did, or like I said, that all-in-one events I previously had, but since deleted. Keep seeing references in different places.

    are you using formatting options or using custom cpt template (e.g. single-event.php)? also, using pastebin.com can you share your single events page format?
