adding list of authors to a page

hello,

i ve been looking around for this stuff but really couldnt get it done..

i need a page which lists all the users under that page.. something like this ; there will be a link on the sidebar like Authors and when i click on that i would like to see a page with authors listed..

when i write this down
?php wp_list_authors(); ?
in the post page in the admin. it doesnt show up.

isnt it possible ?
