Need plugin to display pre-entered scheduled information

    Hi,

    I recently did a website for a restaurant using the Twenty Eleven theme. They use a widget to display the nightly specials. It is very difficult for them to hit the site every day.

    Is there a plugin or a process whereas they can enter a weeks worth of specials, then, the special would change automatically in the widget accordingly for the current day?

    One approach would be to use the PHP Code Widget plugin and code a custom widget to retrieve the latest post in either a category or custom post type.

    The owners could then enter the daily specials and set them to the proper ‘Published on’ date so they would appear on that date.
