[Plugin: WooCommerce – excelling eCommerce] Bulk CSV importer unable to handle special characters, b

I use the CSV bulk product import plugin to update 1000+ products, but lots of the descriptions are cut off on the site where a special character was in the description in the spreadsheet.

For example:
“you’ll” will cut off at the apostrophe
“5½” will cut off after 5
“é” also breaks the description

These descriptions come like this from the manufacturer and I edit them in Excel 2010 to format them into the plugins required fields.

Is there any way to get the CSV Bulk product import plugin to read special characters, or do I have to go in by hand and replace them all before I upload it to woocommerce?
