• Hi,

I have a principal blog (blog A) which have about 500 subscribed users.
Then a installed a multi site to have an other web site (blog B).

After attributing to blog A all my subscribed, I noticed that a user linked with Blog A can connect in the login box on the Blog B.
    And I don’t want that.

Is there a way for users to only login in the attributing blog and not to share their access between Blog A and B ?

    Thanks for your help.

Users are network wide, so unless you get a Membership management plugin, they’re always going to have access between sites.

And the membership plugin has to be configured per site.

Can you recommend a good membership plugin?

And if I used the yd-wpmu-sitewide-options plugin, do you think I could automate the per site configuration?

    Thanks so much!

I’m using Join My Multisite to do this on one of my sites. It requires a little more work to make everything seamless, but it allows you to create blog-specific signup pages with just a line of short code. That way when users sign up, they are ONLY signing up for the multisite/network site that they are actually visiting.

As the author of that plugin I want to point out it does not obviate the need for another membership plugin if you want to 100% restrict users from other sites. Users belong to the network no matter what, and are always psudeo subscribers to other sites. That means they can comment, even if you make the site ‘only logged in members can comment.’

    So this will still happen:

After attributing to blog A all my subscribed, I noticed that a user linked with Blog A can connect in the login box on the Blog B.

They’ll be told they don’t have access to the other site, but they actually are logged in.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/s2member/ may be what you want, but all of the membership plugins have extra features so it’s hard to say ‘This is perfect’ since I’m not you 😉

hi Ipstenu (Mika Epstein), is there any plugin for restrict the users to another subdomains and suggest me a good plugin for front end user registration for each subdomain .

    Thank u
