• Hi

I just made a backup of my (mySQL) database file from phpMyAdmin.
Now I would like to make a backup of my entire website. I would like to keep everything: the settings, the minor tweaks I’ve made so far in the dashboard and in my custom template, all the installed plugins and their settings, etc.

It is sufficient just transfering all the files to my harddrive via FTP or do I have to do something else in order to get make a backup of everything?

    Thanks in advance

Thanks, but is that really necessary if I already backed up my MySQL database file manually?

All of which – with the exception of your theme – are stored in your database.

    Cool

As I said, I’ve just made a backup of my database. It’s a 4.3MB big SQL file. I assume it’s the right one.

There’s no way that we can confirm or deny that. The only way to know for sure is to examine the .sql file and see if the table names match those used in your site’s current database.

BackUpWordPress <– I have this plugin installed. Anyone familiar with it?
