Had look at other offerings in the WP repository … most require manual breaks … would really like this to work with captioned images so I wouldn’t have use a second-best plugin.
Hi David,
Columnizer is a new plugin so I appreciate your report. I will play around with this. I wonder if all short codes are breaking inside the columnizer shortcodes… Can you post a link to an example of the problem?
Thanks,
Tristan
PS: Sorry it took me so long to respond to your question. I just realized that wordpress.org isn’t emailing me when people post on this forum – got to fix that!
Hi Tristan
My turn to apologise for delay!
I can’t now get Columnizer to work! Admittedly this link (http://wrs01.com/wr ) is a different site, but both are WP342 and Headway33.
Anyway, you can at least see what happens to the Caption (on the Home page). I put the text without the image in the ‘Working’ page … still only a single column!
Confused.
David
Hi Tristan
I’ve just discovered that it is my theme, Headway 3.2.5 which is causing the problem with it not working at all.
I can’t see from Chrome’s inspect element, what the problem is … but them I’m pretty useless at css and html!
Do you have any ideas what needs to be fixed to get Columnizer working?

Hi Tristan,
I haven’t checked your source code, but if the content that is enclosed in a shortcode contains (or may contain) other shortcodes you need to output do_shortcode($string) instead of $string.
Hope this works for you.
Will check back here in a couple of days to have a better look at your plugin.
Hi,
I too would like to be able to use Columnizer to parse shortcodes properly. Currently it just outputs the shortcode I add within the Columnizer shortcode.
[threecolumns][wpv-view name="Therapies Category List"][/threecolumns]
outputs [wpv-view name=”Therapies Category List”] on the page.

Would love to know if this is possible as your plugin is definitely the best solution since you are not required to add manual column breaks, and since the shortcode I would like to use is auto generated, it would be the perfect solution.
