seems as though i have the same problem, i have tried everything i can think of with no luck and the creator is not replying. I was getting this before the update, i installed the update to see if it would fix but no. I have a friend using this plugin and hers are working fine.
I had this problem. I solved it by disabling the watermark feature (?!) Hope that helps.

you have a server configuration problem that is not allowing the image script to pass the right header information. if you try to view directly the image it download the image.php file instead of displaying the image.

I noticed that was happening as well, but don’t know what kind of change would have made that happen.
Any idea where I might look to fix that?
