[Plugin: Events Manager] event countdown?

    hey guys, thanks for the great plugin!

    I thought it would be great to have a widget where you could display a countdown for all your listed events.

    I display my events in UTC time, so it can get confusing for my members across the world who have to figure out when Events are in Local Time, and might make a mistake converting to their local time from UTC.

    Just a widget to display in the side panel, with each Event name and a hour/min/sec countdown to the start, would be a great addition for International communities like my site.

    hi,

    if you can code, you can replicate events-manager/widgets/em-events.php and do your customization there.

    I wouldn’t know how to begin, unless there is a noob guide somewhere 🙂 Is there one?

    I was just making the suggestion for you guys to add it to your plugin because it would be pretty essential for most events, and doesn’t seem like it would be very hard to create.

    fyi, if you set your blog timezone correctly, and provide the add-to-calendar links e.g. #_EVENTICALLINK they can view the event time according to their local time.
