Thesis, static home page with image gallery grid scroll through? help please

Hello,

Its thesis 1.7 and I have a static home page. I’m very familiar with thesis, obviously, but the one thing I want is a big sliding gallery on my home page (not like what I already have on there, they are just image links) I want a gallery, can be just images, or video too, I cant find a plug in and im wondering do I have to change themes?, these are examples.

I don’t want to code in the images individually I want to upload them to wordpress and they automatically go into the home page grid, with arrows so that you can scroll through.

Should I use a new theme for this? And if i do, will I be able to customize it like I can on thesis to get my website looking the same as it does now? or can I just install a plugin or some code to make this possible without the hassle of changing themes?
