Lost my Password

Hello,
I ‘ve got a admin account with my wordpress site, but i’v lost it, i ‘m trying to recover it, but i ‘v got a error :

The e-mail could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function…

What i can i do ?

Have you tried contacting your hosting organisation to find whether they’ve disabled their mail function?

No, i don’t try to contact my hosting service but my site was hacked one month ago, maybe they ‘ve disabled it

To check if your host provider has disabled SMTP mail for your server then you’ll need to do as Andrew suggested and contact them directly.

It could be you are not resetting it correctly. If you have FTP or other vendor provided file management tools then give this method a try.

Please make sure you have a backup copy of your theme’s function.php file before you modify it.

Is ‘1’ your user ID?

Put in your own new password for the main admin user. The “1” is the user ID number in the wp_users table.

You can change your password directly in PhpMyAdmin but the value you enter needs to be an MD5 hash of your password, not the password itself. So if your pass is ‘hello’, which it better not be :), you’d enter ‘5d41402abc4b2a76b9719d911017c592’ in the database.
