    it is true, it will indeed set a cookie.

    The law is meant for tracking cookies such as for advertisement networks and website analytics.
    The cookie that is set is not to track the individual user but keeps record of the choice the visitor made. Otherwise you will have to send a cookie for every pageview the visitor made.

    In our opinion this type of cookie is allowed by the ‘cookie law’.
