Removing Featured Image from single post php?

Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to read this, basically, I figured where to remove the featured image, but then the text below it does not move up into position, it stays as if the image is still there?

What I want it set as is so I can have a thumbnail, then a seperate image (that I would set when writing the post) at the top and the text below.

Can someone please help? fyi, the single.php I have uses a lot of ‘else’ commands such as ‘if thumbnail is video, post the video in this size etc’ so its a bit hectic for me to figure it out.
