I recently added the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin to my site. I am in the process of getting my site configured for Google Analytics, but keep getting an error message through the Yoast WP SEO Dashboard that says, “Analytics Profile: Unfortunately, an error occurred while connecting to Google, please try again: Re-authenticate with Google.”

I went to the Thesis forum for help. They said, “Do you also have the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin installed? It’s a more likely source of the error than the SEO plugin; and since Joost authored them both, it makes sense that they might be integrated in such a way that you’d see an error from one on the other’s settings screens.”

“If you do have that plugin installed, then you’d need to go to Settings > Google Analytics to take care of the authentication issue from there.”

I DO have both installed. Don’t see an option in the Settings > Google Analytics to take care of the authentication issue. How do I resolve this problem?

Never mind. I deactivated Google Analytics, and I no longer get an error message that says I have to re-authenticate with Google.
