I think my sites been hacked =(

I believe my online portfolio site has been compromised: http://theprogressiveproject.com/ I opened up the functions.php file and there were all these random comments not in the original install.

Is there anyway i can get my site back and what steps can i take next time to ensure this never happens again? I’ve applied for a few jobs yesterday, I’m so bummed out as employers cant see my work. Please help anyone!
