bug: uploading audio video link issues

I have noticed a serious bug in the upload of wp-admin:
When you upload a mp3, mov, mv3 etc. (doesn’t seem to happen with images!), click on the uploaded object and click on ‘Send to editor’ the right link is send to editor.

BUT

When you click on that uploaded-object, click on ‘Linked to file’ so ‘Link to page’ is shown, then click again so ‘Linked to file’ is shown, if you then click on ‘Send to editor’ the URL of the file is not using the correct path (like /wp-content/uploads/<year>/<month>/<filename>) but the file-URL is just using <filename>.

Seems to be a serious bug.

The only work around for me right now is never change the options of the file when I send it to the editor. It happens both using the Visual Rich Editor and without using it.

Do I need to add this bug to the code-track?

Btw: tested on serveral WordPress installations, versions 2.04 and 2.05, using DreamHost, using Firefox 2 and IE7 under WindowsXP. And also testen without any plugin active, except for Akismet.
