    Front-end. GPL2.

    Then you cannot add a link to the plugin’s site without also offering the user an option to hide that link.

    Ok, thanks! And if we offer that option, it should be turned off by default I guess?

    I don’t think that matters as long as you provide an option to hide it via the plugin’s options/settings.

    No, “then you cannot add a link” is in reference to the link being on the front end. Reread your first link: “The plugin must not embed external links on the public site (like a “powered by” link) without explicitly asking the user’s permission.”

    Thanks Amy :). Now it’s clear. But by default we may show this copyright, but we’ll just have to create a setting to hide it?
