How to add recent posts list on external html page

Hi Everyone! I have a wordpress blog I have created on a website. This is for a global warming awareness site. I’ve chosen wordpress for the news page as it has many features and wordpress has received many thumbs up from friends.

I would like to display recent posts from the wordpress blog on a column on the main page. Is there a plugin or feature that does this? How do I export posts from the blog to an external HTML page? I would greatly appreciate the help, I have been stuck on this issue for a long time.

The purpose of this blog is to post global warming articles and give a brief summary of the article as well as a picture. I don’t suppose there would be a method to solve my problem above that would allow me to display post text and/or pictures in addition to the post title? If I could display a thumbnail picture of the picture in the post, that would be fantastic!
