    Hi,

This plugin has been working great for us. Then mysteriously the Events page and add new event link disappeared from the backend of our site. All the content we’ve entered thus far is still there, but we can’t add anything new.
We had yet to update from version 5.1.8.5 to version 5.2.4 on the live site. Upgrading both WordPress and Events Manager seem to have no effect on our local installation of the site.

I noticed in the forums that there may have been a similar problem back in the upgrade from version 4 to 5 as noted here.
    http://wp-events-plugin.com/blog/2012/01/05/events-gone-after-upgrading-read-this/
But it seems to be inapplicable to our current problem, cause as far as we can tell nothing changed to incite the disappearance of our events page.

Not to mention that I was unable to find the specified code in /wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php to change.

Any ideas about what might have happened or how to fix it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • Have you tried to temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems
    – did you upgrade any plugin or theme?
    – what happened when you lost your events?

    Thanks aglonwl.

    Yes,
I have made a local installation of the site on my computer which replicates the errors we are getting with live site.

I’ve upgraded in both installations to no avail. And in the local installation I’ve also disabled all other plugins and switched themes, all to no avail.

One additional problem I noticed which hopefully will give some clues is on the help page in the plugin back end, instead of seeing the list of available place holders we are now seeing this errror listed under each placeholder category.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/tresojos/thirdi.org/festival/wp-content/plugins/events-manager/admin/em-docs.php on line 301

I’ve tried uploading a fresh copy of em-docs.php, but this hasn’t helped either.

To my knowledge there have been no changes made to any of the plugin files, but this error seems to indicate otherwise.

Does that give any one any clues on how to solve this?

Thanks soooo much for the help!

from the sounds of it your capabilities are not set right so you can’t add new events.

i don’t get this issue on the help page, I’d suggest re-installing the plugin to see if that helps
