[Plugin: amr ical events lists] Large calendar grid adapted for tablet?

I want to make my site more responsive. How can I turn hovers into clicks (or taps), so a bigboxcal can work on an iPad? ie, tap and the data appears, then tap again to disappear. As I’m dealing with many events I need hidden data to be revealed as needed.

Short of making everything agenda-style I don’t know how to achieve this? Here’s my site: http://jimsrootsandblues.com.
