Cannot Log In After Newest WP Upgrade
-
A week or so ago, I did the upgrade as required in my dashboard, and when I got ready to write something there was a box on the screen which stated:
1.)
“WordPress Database Update Required
Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.
The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.
Update WordPress Database”I pushed the “Update WordPress Database” button as it required and the box then said:
2.)
“WordPress Database Update Required
WordPress has been updated!
Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.
The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.
Update WordPress Database”I pushed the “Update WordPress Database” again, and still nothing happened.
Since that time, every time I try to log in, I get the same screen:
3.)
“WordPress Database Update Required
WordPress has been updated!
Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.
The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.
Update WordPress Database”My word press page seems to have been rendered useless – no ability to get to the dashboard.
Now, there have been a few occasions when I can click on the “go back arrow” in my browser and get to my page (seeing it as if I had logged in – with the “Private” posts showing on my screen), but I cannot get to the dashboard at this point. I can only see the dashboard dropdown menu when I can back into it, as noted. But, I can’t got to that page every time. If I click on the Dashboard drop down at that point, it takes me back to: http://www.massagetoolbox.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F (which is the “WordPress Database Update Required” page).
I think I was able to clean the cache. I assume I am using WP 3.42… but to be honest, I am not very technical so I don’t know.
Is there any way you can help me resolve this issue?
Thanks.
