White screen of death – WP newbie

    Hi all 🙂

    I am a very inexperienced WP user and am having trouble with my site.

    My website is http://www.shillise.com and I recently installed a new theme, since then I have been getting the “white screen of death” when I go to the admin page.

    I have since deleted all my WP files off my computer… I really have no idea what I’m doing 🙁

    Can someone please help me?

    You have to delete the theme files from your WordPress installation. To do so, connect via FTP and navigate to /wp-content/themes directory. Once there delete the directory of the theme you just installed.

    This should revert back WordPress to use the default theme.

    @shillise – are you able to logged into admin area?, Please remember to take a backup of all the pages/folders before you are trying to do the changes.

    How do connect via FTP? Sorry I’m very new to all this!

    See FTP. Or use whatever file management application your host provides.
