    Hi – i’m new here, also to WP.
    Trying to get NextGen Gallery to work on my live site, on pages where my slideshows were functioning OK to begin with, but now the dread msg appears : “The Flash Player and a browser with Javascript support are needed”.
    Running the latest version of the plugin and WP, WP theme is checked, etc..

    Is there any final solution to this apparently huge bug yet? (forum has 10 pages of links to years-ago discussions)

    Slideshows work fine on my test site. i’ve compared settings on both sites, & only difference is that under General Options on the (non-functional) live site, ‘Gallery path’ does not allow me to input anything (the field contains a single forward slash, which you can highlight, but field does not accept any input).

    Could this be my problem? If so, how to input the Gallery path?
