    hi,
when a new user confirmes his mail, /newsletter says “confirmed” and i (as admin) get a notification about a new registration.
but the user isn’t confirmed (√) in adminpanel – only (!).
why that? do i have wrong settings or what is it?

confusing: when i confirm a mail in a browser, where i’m logged in as admin – it seem to work (√). it’s a different email just subscribed from the widget in IE and confirmed in Firefox. all others don’t work. see above.

do you use cookies or where can this error come from?

maybe there is a way to just call a function inside /newsletter that does this nasty subscription?

  • @holospirit,

This sounds like a caching issue. Cache plugins are normally bypassed for logged in users so the admin pages can remain up to date to the second.

It seems that your site, via a plugin or your theme, is serving cached content to your users reporting that the request is getting completed but the page is static and no code is actually being run (i’s all handled in PHP via a $_GET request, not cookies).

Try disabling caching plugins or using the default WordPress twentyten or twentyeleven themes and see if the issue resolves.

cool, thanks a lot. yes, was a caching issue. added /newsletter and ?s2= to the whitelist and it works.

    saved my day 😉
