Safari and password protected posts

    I have a user who’s on a Mac and is unable to view a password-protected post in WordPress, even though she has the password. Using Safari, the password prompt appears, but after entering the password she is just cycled back to the password prompt again. She says she has Safari set to always accept cookies, so I don’t understand what the problem might be.

    She also has the Mac version of Internet Explorer. In IE, the password prompt doesn’t appear at all!

    Any explanation or help for these problems?
