Adding a simple mailing list

    I know that there’s a couple of mailing list plugins avaialable for WP but they don’t do what I want from what I can see, and nor have I managed to set them up properly.

    What I’m after is very simple. I want a text box on my main page for visitors to subscribe/unsubscribe, and obviously I want all of the addresses stored/managed. I want to be able to send a newsletter out via e-mail, as and when I please.

    I don’t want WP to send automatic emails everytime there is a post.

    I don’t want people to have to register on my WP system to receive the e-mails.

    If anyone has a simple solution, I’d be very grateful. Many thanks,

    I’m looking for exactly the same thing. I want to set up a box where people can subscribe to a newsletter which I will send out periodically with news on my book.

    I’m absolutely not looking for people to have to become members of my blog, or to receive notifications when I post something new.

    Is there anyone out there who can offer advice, or even come up with a tailor made solution for my blog, which I’d be willing to pay for?

    there has to be a mail list plugin floating around somewhere, but there are some commercial WP mail list plugins i saw if you need the links let me know
