Can't Import Authors From One Site To Another

    Hello guys,

    I wish to transfer by WordPress site from a .tk domain to .com domain. My new site has been successfully installed and I have also imported all content from my previous site through WordPress importer.

    But my site is a multi-author site, and the new site is not importing any author whatsoever although it imports other contents like posts, pages, etc! I am getting this error:

    Failed to create new user for Author1. Their posts will be attributed to the current user.
    Failed to create new user for Author2. Their posts will be attributed to the current user.
    Failed to create new user for Author3. Their posts will be attributed to the current user.
    Failed to create new user for Author4. Their posts will be attributed to the current user.

    ………..
    ………..

    How can I succesfully import my authors to the new site?

    Any help much appreciated.

    P.S.: Some of the authors have alphanumeric characters in their username but even those who don’t have alphanumeric characters are not being imported!

    This was a hosting-related problem, actually.

    There are some limitations imposed by a free webhosting service. And I was using one during that time.

    It all worked perfectly once I moved to paid hosting.
