Hi. I’m using 2011 (child) and have installed a vertical menu in the left sidebar. Other than needing a little “dressing up”, that works fin, but, since I installed it, my page titles have reverted to black and are no longer centered. I’ve returned to style.CSS to center and re-color, but the commands are ignored. I suspect something in the vertical menu widget code is changing it AFTER it reads style.css. Is this probable, and if so, any thoughts on a solution?

    Thanks

May you paste the contents of your Child Theme stylesheet? If the stylesheet contains too many lines, please use Pastebin.com.

I hate to say it, but you could add !important to your css changes. If the plugin is doing it, that might be the easiest way without having to change all of its styling.

Thanks for the quick response. I assume the probability exists that the widget is in fact the culprit… Could you please explain “add !important” (where and how??).

Again, I’ve just learned to spell CSS and am still working on XHTML…. lol

    Thanks

Your website is not using a Child Theme stylesheet.

The child theme is named “ACT Twenty Eleven”. It’s the theme I’ve selected and am using. Basically, I renamed a twenty eleven and started working on the after I uploaded and selected it.
