[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Using brackets "[ ]" in the SEO Title breaks the Snippet

just FYI… when I override the default page title (something like “[ XYZ ] My Site”), whatever is between the brackets disappears in the Snippet Preview.
I’ve tried escaping them like “/[ XYZ /]”. no dice.
Shows up fine on the live site.. but this could be confusing to some.
