    Hello there 🙂

    I wonder what is the slidershow category plugin that comes with some themes. I want have it on my site and the theme I choose dont have it installed.

    There are many different plugins written for WordPress. Type “slideshow category” into the search form here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

    I did it already before post here. But I didnt find this one that comes on most wp themes, the one I want 🙂

    bethosuch, please do not post that theme site here again. Quoting a reply of mine from an earlier thread:

    The theme author puts in code so that if you change or remove the links in the footer the theme disables itself.

    That’s not cool and is very GPL unfriendly and I’m sorry, but your chosen theme is not released under GPL.

    Non GPL products are not welcome in the WordPress community. Official WordPress policy states that all plugins and themes that are publicly released are required to adhere to http://wordpress.org/about/gpl/

    Any support requests for non-GPL products are usually ignored, in the interests of supporting the community and its freedoms.

    Please consider getting a theme from a reputable place such as the theme repo here.

    Because they booby trap their “free” themes to prevent the user from editing out the footer links, that makes them very GPL unfriendly and that site is not welcomed here.

    I am really sorry for that. Forgive me. I am still tryng to get WP concept. I just migrate my site from mambo, still learning and trying to understand it.

    I got this site as example, only to show what slideshow I am taliking about. There are other free themes I found on web with this slideshow but I didn’t like them pretty much. The one I choose dont have it. And since all those themes come with the same slideshow model, I thought its some very popular plugin.

    No no, it’s all good and you didn’t do anything wrong at all! I just wanted to explain why I removed that link.

    As mentioned by RoseAndMoon there are many different plugins and one of them may fit your requirements.
